What is the latest update on the Tata Tigor?
Tata Motors has updated the Tata Tigor for MY2025 and has introduced features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, an updated driver's display, LED headlights, a 360-degree camera and a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. These updates are also backed by the introduction of new variants and a price revision on some previously-available variants which have made them costlier by Rs 20,000.
How much is the Tata Tigor’s price?
Prices of the Tata Tigor lineup with a manual gearbox option range from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8.50 lakh. The Tigor is also available with a CNG powertrain, which starts from Rs 7.60 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, pan-India). Prices of the AMT (automated manual transmission) are expected to be revealed shortly.

The Tata Tigor is offered with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new semi-digital driver’s display, and eight speakers. Additional features include push-button start/stop, cruise control, and a height-adjustable driver seat.
What are the available powertrain options?
The Tata Tigor is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine with two options:

Petrol: Produces 86 PS and 113 Nm.

Petrol-CNG: Produces 73.5 PS and 95 Nm.
Both powertrains come with a choice of a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission).
How safe is the Tata Tigor?
The Tata Tigor was crash-tested by Global NCAP in 2020 where it scored a four-stars crash test safety rating.
The safety features include dual front airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, a rear parking camera, rain-sensing wipers, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, and rear parking sensors.
Should you buy the Tata Tigor?
While the Tigor offers a 4-star safety rating and great value for money, along with a CNG AMT option, it now feels a bit dated compared to competitors. With the Maruti Dzire soon getting an update and the Honda Amaze expected to be facelifted in 2025, picking the Tigor becomes a tough choice. However, the Tigor's unmatched safety makes it a compelling option for those who prioritise safety in their vehicle.
